as of January 2014, an increase of staff by 5 more inspectors, Summing to 1 Chief Inspector, 12 inspectors, 1 legal officer, 1 assistant,

In 2013, 510 inspections conducted by 7 Inspectors supervising 429 public primary health care institutions, 7 public secondary health care hospitals, and tertiary care University Clinical Centre consisting of clinics, services and institutes. Private practice is consisted of 1421 institutions out of which 905 primary health care institutions.

Usually concentrated on licencing, use of medical documentation, basic standards of quality of health care, presence of personnel etc. Methods –documentation, interview, viewing, photo, confiscations and/or other.
Other regulators commission other organisations to monitor against standards – Quality coordinators within health institutions (public), Ethical-Professional Board within each public institutions.

Reform of Health sector – new Health law causing changes in other relevant health legislation. Introduction of payment for performance as of January 2013 to increase quality of health institution.
Draft Law on health insurance has been submitted to the parliament.
Doctors can work in both sectors public and private.
