The survey shows that of the 12 respondents, 10 reported that they ‘share goals and co-operate’, while 2 reported that those supervised ‘can be reluctant’.

As start of a follow up project (EPSO working group on ‘Relations with supervised organisations’ led by the English colleagues), EPSO starts a questionnaire on possible effects of this relationship on the outcome of supervisory activities and possibly on the quality of healthcare. This project aims at improvement of the outcome of supervision by steering on relations with those supervised. A draft questionnaire ( see enclosure) will be presented and discussed in Tromsø by Neil Prime (England).

13.50 -14.00       Discussion

The EPSO member countries will be asked to give input based on their own relationship with the organizations being supervised and possible effects on the outcome of the supervisory activities.
