Setting the scene – Approaches to assessing risks of poor care – Lisa Annaly (Head of QRP and Surveillance)
Aim of session – to set out four or five key topics for discussion and debate. Topics might include:
• Definitions of risk
• How risks are assessed and quantified
• Using information to assess risk
• Variations to approach across sectors and services

12:15 – 13:15 Session Two – Chair TBC – The Five Nation’s responses to Francis
Setting the scene – Members to present a short case study on changes within care and regulatory systems as a response to Francis
Aim of session – to share experiences of the impact of the Francis report

14:00 – 15:00 Session Three – Chair TBC – What are the key topics for each of the Five Nations? What common themes are there between regulatory bodies?
Setting the scene – What are the known common areas of interest across the Five Nations and the European Partnership of Supervisory Organisations (EPSO)?
Aim of the session – To share the results from similar inspections, studies etc within different systems of regulation
